Introducing Vancouver Chiropractor Dr. Scott Yeoman

Vancouver's preferred chiropractor, Dr. Scott Yeoman“It was incredible,” continues Dr. Yeoman. “I’ll never forget that first adjustment. It was as if a huge weight was suddenly lifted from my shoulders. That’s when I decided I wanted to be a chiropractor.”

Dr. Yeoman began his pre-chiropractic education at SFU where he studied the basic sciences such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses. After completing his study there, he was accepted at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario. During his four years at CMCC, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the CMCC Public Health Clinic.

“We love skeptics,” smiles Dr. Yeoman. “I still remember the concerns and apprehension I had when I went to the chiropractor for the first time. So we make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. Patients appreciate that.”

Dr. Yeoman is an outdoor enthusiast enjoying downhill skiing, rock climbing and scuba diving. He is also active in community fundraising events such as The Rick Hanson Wheels in Motion Foundation and The Campaign to Rebuild British Columbia Children's Hospital.

Dr. Scott Asks some important questions of interest to Vancouver residents - Chiropractor Vancouver Dr. Scott Asks...

If you have a fever, are you sick or healthy?
Chiropractors love asking this question because it gets to the root of the chiropractic difference. Turns out fevers, vomiting, coughing and even sneezing are all healthy responses. It means your body is working correctly. Taking medications to suppress these natural processes can actually prolong your recovery.
What controls every cell, tissue and organ of your body?
DNA? Wrong. Immune system? Wrong? Hormones? Wrong. It's your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body. When a chiropractor sees a Vancouver patient with say, stomach problems, we want to know why the brain is unable to properly control and regulate the stomach. Which prompts us to examine the nervous system—the focus of chiropractic care.
